We represent employers in all matters relating to workplace safety and insurance. This includes: - Providing advice on claims management, assessment and experience rating issue
- Advocating on behalf of our clients with adjudicators and other staff of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) and the Workplace Safety And Insurance Tribunal (WSIAT)
- Advice on managing employees with WSIB claims from not only a workplace safety and insurance perspective but with regard to compliance with human rights legislation and collective agreement compliance
- Advice on WSIB financing matters including rate group classification disputes, assessments and penalties
- Represent employers at every level of the Ontario workplace insurance system. This includes making representations (verbal and written) to claims adjudicators and presenting appeals (written and oral) at the WSIB appeals branch and presenting appeals (written and oral) at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal. This also includes participating in the mediation processes that are sometimes associated with these appeals.
