Workplace Privacy
Workplace Privacy The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and the Municipal Freedom of Information and Privacy Act regulate the collection, use and disclosure of information in the Ontario public sector. Obligations for federally regulated employers in the private sector are set out in the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. Provincial legislation for the private sector is expected soon in Ontario.
